Olympus Stylus 770 SW Review

I blogged about the camera a little while ago cause I thought it was so cool. I finally did get one and I am happy I did. I took it out this weekend to maple canyon to go rockclimbing.

The camera is small so it fits in your pocket and you hardly notice it. We set up a jug line and took some pictures are the minimum wall. The part I don’t like about taking my camera climbing with me is that they always get gunked up with chalk and dirt. However after this trip I learned that you can easily clean this camera. You just put it in a bowl of water. Then you open and close the shutter a couple of time and you’re done.

The next day I took it down the weber river in a tube. This was a good test to see how waterproof it really was. It passed with flying colors. I didn’t have to take any extra precautions. I just put the lanyard around my wrist and floated along. I sometimes just let it hang it the water. It took great pictures and worked flawlessly. The waterproofing drew me to the camera but it has many other features that make it as bomb proof as possible. Read the previous post abou the other protective qualities the camera has.
