Gold Star Camping for Five

The Big Agnes Gold Camp UL 5 Tarp tops the charts in terms of lightness, packability, and livable internal space. It's the largest Gold Camp Tarp and the lightest 5-person option for minimalist-minded backpackers and alpinists. Big Agnes included stakes and a single pole for the simplest and sturdiest of setups, and the PU-coated taffeta fabric offers durable weather protection. You can adjust the stake-out loops to change the head height or add more livable space. Either way, you should be able to stand up straight to change in and out of dirty climbing gear or rack up before heading out. The Gold Camp UL 5 Tarp does not include a floor, and you can accessorize the Tarp with the Mesh Inner and Footprint (both sold separately) if you want to add a floor and/or bug shelter.
