Fast and light just got a new name thanks to the Big Agnes Fly Creek HV 1 Carbon Tent. This ultralight backpacking tent was built for those of us weighing out our food to the ounce and cutting toothbrushes in half in order to save on weight. Big Agnes took their award-winning Fly Creek model and redesigned it using lightweight Easton carbon fiber poles which have a high strength-to-weight ratio and Dyneema Composite Fabrics in the fly and floor, to create an unbelievably lightweight structure that is fully waterproof and built to take on the trail. The single-pole architecture makes set up a breeze, even when the wind is trying to turn your tent into a parachute, and the high-volume design gives you ample space to stretch out on the inside while you wait out the storm. The single, dry-entry door design and vestibule ensure that you and your gear stay out of the elements while the added interior mesh pockets give you plenty of room to organize your essentials on the inside. Although this tent boasts a highly tear-resistant material, Big Agnes also knows that ultralight gear can be damaged on the trail so they threw in a Dyneema patch kit as well to make sure that you are covered from mile one to mile one-hundred.
