Backpacks

Any time you go out climbing, it's important to remember that you'll always need a bigger climbing backpack than you think you will. Once you factor in the multitude of layers you'll want to bring, the five different pairs of shoes you'll "need" to test out the new project, the quickdraws, snacks, and beer, a 50-liter crag pack no longer looks like total overkill. Plus, if you don't have a little extra space, how's your partner going to put rocks in it when you aren't looking, making sure that you stay fit on the approach?
