Out of all the approach shoes in La Sportiva’s TX series, the Men’s TX4 is by far the most durable option. Its rubber-randed leather upper stands the tests of time as you scramble boulders, use fallen trees as bridges across streams, and maybe even post-hole your way through alpine terrain to reach faraway rock climbs. The rubber toe is made of Vibram to give reliable traction when you unknowingly start the first pitch not realizing where the trail ended and the climb began. La Sportiva’s plethora of braking, biting, and control technologies ensure solid control on precarious scree scrambles and the like.
