Let's face it, most climbers sacrifice bulk muscle for a better strength to weight ratio, leaving us thin and wiry. This is great until you're too light to flex your stiff, modern climbing shoes on the rock. Enter the SCARPA VSR Climbing Shoe. As a softer version of the famous Instinct VS, the VSR features Vibram Grip 2 rubber which is more flexible and malleable for a slightly more snug fit across the top of the foot. A downturned profile makes it easy to edge on the smallest footholds and the sock-style fit ensures that you can feel everything going on inside the shoe. Perfect for lightweight climbers or anyone looking for a slightly less stiff shoe in general, the Instinct VSR is a great option for everything from gym climbing to tall sport routes or difficult boulder problems.
