A padded air mesh tongue keeps you from feeling it when you're shoes have been on all day long while the patch in M70 rubber on the toe offers the perfect amount of hold for tricky bicycles and toe hooks. For routes with only jugs for feet, your worn out, flat-footed shoes will do just fine, for everything else there's the Vapor V.
