Starting with an in-mold design, Smith put safety first with a polycarbonate shell and EPS liner, giving you impact protection in a lightweight shell that won't make you feel top-heavy. Adding a layer of MIPS protection to the shell was the next intuitive step, as well as an Aerocore construction to drop the weight even further and add built-in breathability. For those who want more ventilation, Smith included 14 adjustable air channels that can be easily opened at the flip of a switch as well as removable ear pads, so you can stay cool on warm spring days. Speaking of ear pads, Smith made these compatible with Audio Chips so you can boogie down the mountain to whatever suits your mood.
