Beer Blog Continued

Well since my last post was about beer and I found another interesting piece of info on beer, I guess its ok to post another beer related article. Well apparently Canadian brewers have developed a beer that helps reduce cholesterol. They have several ingredients that have studies demonstrating their abilities to reduce LDL counts. Which is the bad form of cholesterol. Here is an excerpt from the article from Gadgetell.

A new light beer from Canada claims that if you drink two a day, your overall cholesterol and LDL cholesterol numbers will drop. Seriously.

The secret to Heart Start beer lies in two parts: plant sterol and barley beta glucan. The FDA states that the plant sterol reduces overall and LDL cholesterol numbers. The beta glucan has been clinically proven to lower cholesterol and increase satiety for weight watching hopefuls, and even yields the ability for humans to fly. Ok, I made that last one up.

A beer your doctor will ok? Sounds good to me.

Pass me one to go with my brats!
