Belay Device & Locking Carabiner

The Mammut Smart 2.0 Belay Package pairs Mammut’s assisted-braking Smart 2.0 Belay Device and a locking carabiner designed specifically for the device. Mammut’s Smart 2.0 Belay Device is the original assisted-braking device that doesn’t use levers or mechanics. Instead, it uses the natural forces of falling climbers to tighten the rope in the device. An integrated thumb catch lets you release the tension and lower like most assisted-braking belay devices. Mammut’s Smart 2.0 Carabiner is more than just a standard screwlock with a keylock. It also includes a safety gate that can only close when the carabiner’s locked.
