The slim profile of the 18L pack gives you room for your airbag plus your snow safety gear, as well as an extra layer, making it ideal for quick laps and exposed ridgeline terrain. When the bootpack is the fastest way to the top, this pack gives you carry options for skis and snowboards, freeing your hands for the task ahead. Airbags are not a replacement for awareness, snow safety tools, and avalanche rescue skills, but when deployed correctly, they can give you an advantage that makes a real difference if you find yourself caught in a slide.
