The upshot is that it's scientifically proven to reduce the effects of damaging rotational impacts. It gets better with the addition of Koroyd honeycomb material, which adds an impact absorbing crumple zone that manages to enhance ventilation and reduce weight at the same time. And it’s rounded out with Smith’s AirEvac system, which works in concert with your goggles to fight fogging, as well as an on-the-fly adjustable ventilation system that can be opened on warm days and sealed when it’s chilly. The only feature the Mission is missing is the inflated price tag that typically comes with helmets boasting these features.
