They could've easily just doubled the necessary contents of the original and called it a day, but that's not their style. Instead, they overhauled the harness, making it easier to carry heavier loads all day long, as well as added side attachment points so you can carry your most useful tools or supplies on the outside of the pack. Moving on to the insert, they reinforced the materials for added durability, threw in a full-tang knife, metal water bottle, and of course, doubled-down on food rations, goggles, gloves, hats, and first-aid supplies, so you don't have to share while you're out there.
