Modern Water Bootie

The Astral Hiyak is a modern water bootie made without neoprene while still insulating for whitewater kayaking and riverside hiking. It has a flexible, barefoot-like feel with Astral’s Balanced Geometry shape including a zero drop and wide toebox. G.SS is Astral’s softest, grippiest rubber maximizing traction in wet/dry terrain. The canvas upper dries quicker than you can cinch your boat to your car. Astral added drainage ports, hidden laces, and a hook-and-loop strap that stays secure in the river.
