Designed for your most ambitious tours, the Flylow Men's Kane Jacket is ideal for those who prefer their backcountry travel fast and light. Flylow started with its proprietary Intuitive Perm fabric, which is stretchy, waterproof, and extremely breathable. But what makes Perm so remarkable is that, unlike other waterproof breathable materials which require sweat vapor and body heat to build up before they can start to evacuate moisture, Perm is a “dry” system which starts evacuating sweat vapor the moment you put it on. The upshot is that you’ll start off drier and more comfortable, and stay that way throughout the day. The details are equally focused, with articulated shoulders and sleeves, and seam-free shoulders that hold up better against wear from backpack straps. Flylow also chose to forgo a powder skirt for the Kane, stripping out unneeded weight and bulk. You’ll want something more substantial for the resort, but for high speed touring in big terrain, the Kane Jacket will help you move faster, stay drier, and be more comfortable from trailhead to peak and back again.
