The Petzl Grigri Plus is a cam-assisted blocking belay device purpose-built for climbing, learning, and top rope climbing. The anti-panic handle is the defining feature: if a belayer pulls too hard during a lower, the handle automatically stops rope feed, providing a critical safety buffer for beginners and instructors alike. ASSIST+ mode pre-activates the cam's blocking action to make taking up slack easier for new belayers, while the cam-assisted design reduces the effort needed to hold a falling climber on any rope diameter. Designed for use with single ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm.
