At just 5.9 oz, it disappears into a pack between gusts and deploys in seconds when the ridge turns sharp. A stiffened hood peak handles driving wind, an inner storm flap and chin guard seal out drafts at the neck, and elasticated cuffs and hem lock the fit in place during sustained activity. Two zipped hand pockets provide secure storage for gloves and trail essentials.
