The Ortovox Beast is both compact and aggressive, making it perfect for backcountry adventures. The shovel blade features a sharpened bottom cutting edge to chop through hard snow and pronounced center ridge with high side walls for maximum rigidity. To keep your boot from slipping off mid-shovel, the upper edge is equipped with non-slip ridges to make sure your snow removal as fast and efficient as possible. The hybrid T grip provides excellent ergonomics for both left and right handers while the rubber coating on the lower section maximizes power transmission. The quick-lock eases assembly of shaft and blade for fast deployment.
